I lived in London for graduate school so lots of fond memories there (and Paris and beyond), but I'm also very much a foodie as well as an adventurer, so my favorite memories involve meals: fresh seafood in coastal Cinque Terre, Italy and French classics in Dijon while touring the Burgundy vineyards.

Egypt was life changing--to see the multiple millennia old pyramids, temples and tombs and the hospitality of the Egyptian people is second to none.

But the most astonishing and transformative experiences I've had traveling were in Southern Africa: the wildlife and bush of the Okavango Delta, the majesty of Mosi oa Tunya (Victoria Falls) and the jewel-like city of Cape Town. I left my heart in Botswana.
