Our Chalet Terms

Our Swiss Chalet experience is part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). Please review and approve the below terms specific to your Italian Lakes & Swiss Chalet Adventure.

Alpine Activities Declaration

I. To ensure that I will study and obey the Mountain Rules outlined in the Guided Hikes Forms.

II. To ensure that I will follow all the instructions given by the Chalet staff.

III. To ensure that I will carry equipment deemed necessary by Chalet staff.

IV. To ensure that I will inform the Programme Department and fill in a Route Card before departing on a hike of any nature.

V. To ensure that I will avoid foreseeable dangers, I will choose my route carefully depending on current conditions and I would consider turning back as an option on the activity.

I declare that I am physically and mentally capable of undertaking all alpine activities that I intend to do during our stay.

I understand that I am responsible for ensuring that I follow all rules and regulations of the Scout / Guide Association of which I am a member.

I have read and understand this declaration and have received a copy of the Hiking Protocol and equipment list.

I understand that, when undertaking Alpine activities, the Centre and staff, Girl Scouts of the United States of America, and Member Select Vacations, LLC, dba Club Adventures ("CA") are free of any liability or question of contributory negligence which could happen on Alpine activities, except when the Centre and/or staff have been negligent, whether intentionally or otherwise.

I understand that failure to fulfil these conditions or failure to supply correct information will release Our Chalet, its staff, Girl Scouts of the United States of America, and CA wholly and fully of any liability or questions of negligence which may arise.

Please note: The Our Chalet insurance policy does not cover guests for accidents or illnesses whether accompanied by a member of the Centre’s staff or not. We recommend that you check your own insurance carefully.

Data Collection

By checking the "Yes" box below, you give us permission to use information on the form you will fill out on site related to your health, ethnicity, and/or religion. It is a requirement under data protection regulations for us to obtain your consent to use this information. If you do not consent or provide Club Adventures with your dietary requirements or fill out the health information sections of this form, we may not

Photo Release Consent

By registering for a Member Select Vacations, LLC, dba Club Adventures ("CA") trip (including related activities) (collectively, “Event”), I understand and consent to being filmed, photographed, or otherwise recorded at this Event and to the use of such photography, film or recording, voice and likeness and other personal characteristics, which may be used, without compensation, for marketing, advertising, promotional and other commercial and business purposes. I hereby grant to Girl Scouts of the USA (“GSUSA”) and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts ("WAGGGS"), and their affiliates, successors, and assigns and their respective licensees (each a “Releasee”), the irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual, unlimited right and permission to use, distribute, publish, the same in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other photographs or video, exhibit, digitize, broadcast, stream, transmit, display, modify, edit, sublicense, create derivative works of, reproduce or otherwise exploit my name, picture, likeness and voice (including any video footage of the same), testimonials (written by me or attributed to me), interviews (written by me or attributed to me) (collectively, “Media”), or to refrain from so doing, anywhere in the world, by any persons or entities deemed appropriate by GSUSA or WAGGGS, for any purpose including, without limitation, any use for educational, advertising, promotional, non-commercial or commercial or business purposes in any manner or media whatsoever (whether known or hereafter devised) including, without limitation, on the internet (and/or other electronic/digital media), in print publications, social media, display, or in-store and via television broadcast/rebroadcast and any all other media. I agree that I have no interest or ownership in any of the Media. I understand that all images in which I participate or are captured in, including film, photographs, video or digital files are the exclusive property of GSUSA, and WAGGGS. I understand and agree that I have no right of approval, no claim to compensation and no claim (including, without limitation, claims based upon invasion of privacy, defamation or right of publicity) arising out of any use, alteration, blurring, illusionary effect or use in any composite form of my name, picture, likeness and voice. I agree that nothing in this Release will create any obligation on GSUSA, and WAGGGS to make any use of the Media or the rights granted in this Release. I hereby release and hold harmless Releasees from any claim for injury, compensation or negligence resulting or arising from any activities authorized by this Release and any use of the Media by GSUSA, WAGGGS or other Releasee.
