Day 1: Arrive in San Antonio

Welcome to San Antonio, a city steeped in culture and history, and chock full of incredible experiences. Collect your rental car and check into your hotel.

Day 2: San Antonio

A multitude of heritages create the fabric of San Antonio, you'll immediately see the influences of Mexican, Tejano, German, Irish cultures and more. Explore downtown, The Riverwalk, and The Alamo, perhaps venture further and embark on a San Antonio Missions Tour. Remember, no trip to San Antonio would be complete without experiencing the food! Whether by foodie tour or on your own, San Antonio comes to life through bites.

Day 3: San Antonio > Austin

A short journey north today will bring you to Austin. The ride is less than 90 minutes, but you may wish to stop in the quaint historic district of Gruene (pronounced "Green"). Gruene was first settled in 1872 and boasts the oldest dance hall in Texas. You'll also enjoy popping into the General Store or perhaps stay for lunch at a local restaurant. Upon arrival in Austin, check into your hotel and let the adventure begin. Austin is known as the Live Music Capital of the World. The city's bustling energy, paired with incredible food and culture, makes for an amazing few days. Oh, and don't let the beauty of Lady Bird Lake escape without a stroll along the shore or a kayaking experience.

Day 4: Austin

Explore your way today - whether it's a guided bike tour to see the city, a walking foodie tour to explore by taste, or simply a quest to find some hidden gems. Keep in mind that food trucks are a huge part of Austin's culture - hunt for them on your own, or hop on the Austin Foodie tour or a bike tour, seeing the sights and potentially taste testing some of Austin's best Food Trucks.

Day 5: Farewell

Leave the cities of San Antonio and Austin behind today, heading back to reality.

Pedal along the hike-and-bike trail that runs through Zilker Park and around Lady Bird Lake. Check out the Italian Renaissance Revival of the Texas State Capitol building while learning about the city's history as you roll through downtown. Head down Congress Avenue and cross over the Congress Avenue Bridge, where 1.5 million bats take shelter between the months of March to November. Continue to South Congress, Rainey Street, and the boardwalk trail. Get great photo opportunities throughout the bike tour while learning history from your Local Leader.

San Antonio Missions UNESCO World Heritage Site Tour

This tour is the perfect way to see the missions and learn about the founding of San Antonio with its rich history and culture. Experience Spanish History, the Coahuiltecans, and the early southwest. Learn about the significance of San Antonio, San Pedro Springs, and the groups that came together to set the stage for the founding of the Presidio - San Antonio. Your experience starts downtown, see: the original La Villita; Main Plaza, San Fernando Cathedral, and Plaza de Armas. Travel along the San Antonio River to visit all the missions with stops at Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, Espada, and the Espada Aqueduct.
