Itinerary
Kia Orana! Welcome to the Cook Islands. Your Short Break Adventure begins at the Rarotonga airport for an included Air Rarotonga flight to Aitutaki. Home to less than 2000 people and one of the world’s most beautiful lagoons, Aitutaki is your base for the next few days. Greet your Aitutaki local representative when you arrive and transfer to your beach bungalow accommodation – this paradisical location sits at the water’s edge among acres of tropical gardens and palm trees. Your accommodation is the perfect place to let your worries drift away, with the lagoon at your doorstep. This afternoon, you decide what’s on the agenda – maybe a spot of kayaking or snorkelling. Your accommodation front desk can also organise a short island tour or help you hire a bike to explore the island on wheels.
With the entire day at your leisure, now is a good time to jump on a bike and go beach hopping. If you’d prefer, maybe just sit by the lagoon with a cocktail in hand. If you are looking for more planned activities, your accommodation hosts can book an optional lagoon trip for you and spend a full day swimming, snorkeling and chilling out with a local guide, stopping for a barbeque lunch. Visit Heaven Sand Bar and the famous Onefoot Island. Spot tropical fish, turtles and clams in the clear water and end the day with another sunset view.
Tonight, maybe end the day by watching the sunset over dinner and drinks.
With no activities planned for today, you’re free to continue your own adventure after breakfast this morning. Keep in mind that the return flight from Aitutaki to Rarotonga is at 11:40 am, so you’ll need to be ready at 10 am for pick up in the hotel lobby. After the short flight, your trip will finish where it started: Rarotonga Airport. Should you require additional accommodation for the night do get in touch with your booking agent. Transfers are also available for you from the transfer desk at the airport.
