Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic, much has changed across the travel landscape in the past year. In response to this, Club Adventures is continually monitoring and evaluating our protocols, to make sure all travelers needs are met. On Tour Safety

When you travel with Club Adventures, you're traveling with a brand who has your back.
From our network of local offices and access to top-notch health care throughout our trips, to our highly trained Local Leaders and safety guidelines, we're always planning ahead to make sure you have the best trip possible. Here are some things you can expect from a wellness perspective while on a Club Adventures small group experience:

Small Groups

With never more than 16 passengers per Club Adventures departure, our small group sizes ensure your experience will be flexible, unique and inspiring. Most importantly, it also means you don’t have to be worried about crowding into packed passenger buses, so you can sit back and enjoy the ride.

Worldwide Partner Protocols

Our world partners are at the ready with the most up to date regional and municipal standards for supporting our adventures. Club Adventure’s network of local offices have created operation standards based on the guidelines and recommendations from the World Travel and Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travel protocols.

Proof of Vaccination

As of September 1, 2021 all travelers and Local Leaders are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This provides a safer and better experience for all adventurers and helps protect the local communities we visit from strained healthcare systems and localized outbreaks. Travel Insurance

At Club Adventures, we strongly recommend that all travelers purchase Travel Insurance, either through AAA or another provider. With the ever changing travel landscape, we believe that protecting your travel investment, no matter how large or small, is paramount.

Healthcare Availability

Should it be required while on tour, our full health and safety protocols will be enacted. Our Local Leaders will assist with access to appropriate medical care and recommended testing as well as communicate with local health authorities to ensure the health and security of the group.

Safety & Wellness Gear

We know travel can get a little wild which is why we want to assure you that on every Club Adventures departure, there will be plenty of face masks and hand sanitizer available. Adventurers will also be required to social distance when possible and wear a mask when they are not able to follow the 6 foot distancing guidelines.

VACCINE PROTOCOL FAQ

All travelers and Local Leaders on trips must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of travel starting September 1, 2021. This applies to all multi-day group itineraries and tailormade private groups and Just Our Crew travel.

Children (under 18 years old) are exempt. Children between 6 & 17 years old must present either a negative COVID-19 test, proof of recovery or proof of vaccination for those eligible. Please see below section on children for further details.

Any high-risk customer who is unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons can apply for an exemption. Exemptions will be assessed on a case by case basis. Customers must provide a medical certificate from a medical professional.

Vaccines are not required on American Experiences road trips.

Which vaccines are accepted?

Any vaccine that has been authorized for use by the relevant national authority for COVID-19 in the country where the vaccine was administered. This includes well known vaccines such as Oxford AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNtech, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Sputnik, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Covaxin etc.

We require all travelers to be fully inoculated by receiving the full dosage of the COVID- 19 vaccine and allowing enough time for immunity to take effect. Each COVID-19 vaccine has different dosages and timeframes for inoculation so customers and leaders must check the relevant medical advice associated with their vaccine.

We will not accept travelers who have received only a partial dose (e.g. the first shot of two shots)

 

How should travelers show proof?

A copy of your vaccination record (either paper or digital) is required. We will not be storing this information.

  • CDC vaccination record is sufficient

Customers need to provide their proof of vaccination record at the health screening part of the group meeting on day 1.

 

Health Screening

All travelers, leaders and crew will continue to be required to complete an individual self-declaration questionnaire at the group meeting as part of health screening for COVID-19 risks.

Please note that this policy covers the COVID-19 vaccination and testing requirements to travel on our trips. It is separate from any testing or vaccination requirements to enter or exit countries. Customers are still responsible for making sure they are checking relevant government travel advice specific to their circumstances to make sure they abide by any entry/exit requirements.

Children between 6 and 17 years of age are exempt from the compulsory vaccination policy.

They can provide one of the following instead

  • Proof of vaccination status (for children who are eligible)
  • Proof of a negative COVID-19 test conducted no more than 72 hours before day 1 of your trip.
  • Proof of recovery from COVID-19 (a medical clearance certificate from a medical professional)

Children aged 5 years and under are not required to provide any documentation to travel with us.

 

What type of tests do we accept?

We will accept the following tests

  • Nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) such as the RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR or HAD tests. These are the gold standard for detecting COVID-19 infection and are typically collected by nasopharyngeal swabs
  • Rapid antigen tests
  • Lateral flow tests

 

Customers must be able to produce a verifiable test result (paper or digital). This may be in the form of a test result, a medical certificate or a travel certificate/ “fit to fly” certificate.

 

Adherence to Government Guidelines

Club Adventures abides by the recommendations from the CDC as well as guidelines provided by the United States
Tour Operators Association. This is a continually evolving situation, thus this page will change as necessary.

MOVEable Deposits

If for some reason you need to change your travel plans, your MOVEable deposit will move with you — simply select another departure date and we’ll move your deposit there. That way, when you’re ready to travel again, you can! Just bear in mind that our MOVEable deposits must be used within 24 months of selecting a new departure.

45 Day Final Payment Due Date

We understand that travelers want the flexibility and reassurance to change their plans during this evolving landscape, so we’ve made it even easier to accomplish by pushing back our final payment deadline to 45 days prior to departure. We want you to feel confident in your choice to travel with Club Adventures, and if you’d rather change your date, know you have plenty of time to do so.
