Itinerary
Welcome to New York City! Make your way to our hotel and home for the next three nights: The Arlo SoHo Hotel. A micro-boutique hotel set in one of the trendiest locations in town, it’s the perfect homebase for our New York adventure. Settle in before gathering early this evening in the lobby. After meeting your fellow travelers, head to The Village to the first of many amazing cocktail bars on your trip: Katana Kitten. Enjoy some included small bites and sample of what this iconic bar is known for: a Japanese cocktail. Perhaps continue the night with a short walk to the acclaimed cocktail bar, Angel’s Share. (light dinner)
Enjoy the morning to explore the neighborhood and grab some breakfast at your leisure. After, history awaits us today on a Speakeasy Pub and Prohibition tour! While Prohibition made alcohol illegal in 1920s New York, the city still retained an illicit bar scene. This tour will visit some of the city’s self-styled “speakeasies” and historic watering holes to enjoy drinks (own cost) with a dose of history. As we explore Midtown Manhattan, savor each bar’s atmosphere alongside bootlegger and Gilded Age stories from your guide. Enjoy some time to relax and enjoy an early dinner before heading to Alphabet City. This neighborhood’s name comes from Avenues A, B, C, and D - the only avenues in Manhattan to have single-letter names. It’s also home to Death & Co - a perfect place to end our historic day. Here the bartenders in bow ties and suspenders recall the speakeasy days era at this dark, moody cocktail lounge. An exclusive opportunity to add-on an optional private cocktail class is perfect for those looking to sharpen their skills and learn from their expert*. For those that wish to continue to explore the area, head on over to Please Don’t Tell, an iconic cocktail speakeasy known for their James Beard Award winning program and hot dog collaborations with NYC chefs.
*Note: this private cocktail class is for a maximum 12 people and is available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. Please advise your booking agent at time of deposit if you would like to add on this experience.
The Modern Mixology adventure continues with an exclusive Advanced Mixology course at the Institute of Culinary Education. This hands-on course is perfect for professional and recreational students alike and allows everyone to step into the shoes of some of the industry’s best bartenders. This evening, we’ll gather together for dinner at Crown Shy, a Michelin-star contemporary American restaurant. After, perhaps head south a few blocks to The Dead Rabbit, the best Irish Pub in New York City and the perfect place to toast to your adventure. (dinner)
Your New York City adventure ends today and you may depart at any time.
