Day 1: Brussels

Welcome to Brussels! Make your way to the hotel and spend the afternoon exploring. This evening, meet your Local Leader and fellow travel mates at a Welcome Meeting. After, head out to a local brewpub for dinner and to toast to the adventure ahead. (d)

Day 2: Brussels

Get oriented with a walking tour of the city this morning, including a stop to see an iconic symbol of Beligum, the Maneeken Pis. End the tour at Cantillon Brewery. This family brewery has been in operation since 1900 and still uses the same brewing equipment to this day. Enjoy a tour and tasting of their famous lambic beer! After, hop on the tram and head across the river for lunch at Friture Rene, another neighborhood stalwart that’s been in operation since 1932. Perhaps try a Belgian classic like Flemish meatballs alongside the Cantillon beer they serve. Tonight, enjoy an evening to explore. (b, l)

Day 3: Brussels > Westmalle Abbey > Brussels

Trappist beer awaits you today! Head out of the city and to Westmalle Abbey, one of five Trappist breweries in Belgium. See the beautiful exterior of the Abbey before experiencing Westmalle beers as fresh to the source as possible. Enjoy lunch at the Abbey before returning to your hotel for an evening at leisure. If you feel like a night out, Ilot Sacre is a great place to find good food and fun bars. (b, l)

Day 4: Brussels > Bruges

This morning, hop on the train to Bruges. This town on the coast of Belgium looks like it's been plucked straight from the pages of a fairytale, and there’s so much to see and explore. Arriving mid-afternoon, your leader will take you around the city to give you the lay of the land before you explore at your own speed. Wander along the picturesque river this evening, watching the city illuminate around you in the setting sun. Your leader will be able to give you the best recommendations for dinner spots tonight, or where you can find the best beer in town. (b)

Day 5: Bruges

Enjoy a morning to rest before heading to De Halve Maan Brewery – a must-visit for beer lovers. This brewery is home to the world’s first beer pipeline. The two-mile pipe connects the brewery to a bottling plant in the suburbs, cutting down on the use of trucks rumbling through the city’s historic center. Enjoy a tour and a tasting of their well-known brews, Zot and Straffe Hendrik. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant – we suggest trying the moules-frites! (b, d)

Day 6: Bruges > Munich

A quick flight brings us to Germany this morning! After arriving and checking into your hotel, enjoy an orientation walking tour to explore the area. Munich is the capital of Bavaria and one of Germany’s major cultural centers. Enjoy an evening at leisure to rest, explore and gear up for a big few days! (b)

Day 7: Munich

Prost! Oktoberfest awaits! A celebration that has been going on for over 200 years, Oktoberfest is the largest festival in the world. Spend the day exploring the festival, toasting with your travel mates at your reserved table, and taking in the scene. It’s surely to be a day to remember! (b)

Day 8: Munich

A second day of Oktoberfest will provide another opportunity to experience even more. Today is yours to explore the festival. Or, if you’d like, partake in an optional excursion to one of the most famous castles in the world, Neuschwanstein. Tonight, gather together for one final meal to cap off your adventure. (b, d)

Day 9: Munich

There are no activities today, and you can depart at any time. (b)
